What a Personal Business Manager does
The model comes from the entertainment industry, where a business manager runs the financial side of a client's life so the client can run the rest of it. Martin managed multi-family offices for a prominent Hollywood talent agency before building this practice, and he brought the model home to New Jersey families who are not famous but are every bit as complex: a practice and the IP inside it, a portfolio of rentals, a group of operating companies, retirement accounts and property that must pass cleanly to the next generation.
In practice it means one desk that holds the tax plan, the entity structure, the protection documents and the coordination of your other advisors. When your financial advisor proposes a strategy, Martin knows whether it fits your cash flow and your tax picture. When you form a company, the bank account, the payroll and the election are done together. When something changes, the plan changes with it, rather than waiting for next tax season.
What it is not
Martin does not manage investments. He works with your financial advisor, or introduces one, and stays on the tax and legal side of the table. He does not sell insurance or products. The membership fee is the only way he is paid.
